Heather Haas

Dear Billingsville-Cotswold Families,

It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Billingsville-Cotswold Elementary School. I am truly honored to join this dynamic and diverse school community, known for its strong commitment to academic excellence, equity, and the whole-child approach.

Throughout my career in education, I have served in a variety of roles—from classroom teacher to instructional leader—each of which has reinforced my core belief: that relationships are at the heart of a thriving school. I am dedicated to building strong partnerships with students, staff, families, and the community to ensure that every child feels seen, valued, and supported.

Personally, I am a proud mom to a very busy four-year-old, a wife to a Charlotte native (a rare find), and a big fan of all things sports-related. Our family is especially involved in the local lacrosse community, and we spend much of our free time on the sidelines cheering and connecting with others. These personal experiences remind me daily of the importance of strong school-family relationships, and I bring that same spirit of connection and community into my work as a school leader.

As we begin this new chapter together, I look forward to continuing the legacy of excellence at Billingsville-Cotswold while embracing the unique opportunities that lie ahead. You can expect open communication and a warm, welcoming school culture where joy, curiosity, and high expectations flourish.
